The Concord High School Choral Department is a diverse learning community that is focused on providing our students with educational experiences based upon the highest standards of performance and academic scholarship within vocal music education.  The department offers students opportunities to explore a wide range of vocal repertoire, including: music from the classic tradition, vocal jazz, Broadway, barbershop, and that of varying ethnic origins.  Aural skills and musicianship training in Kodály methodology provide students with a strong foundation for the practical application of vocal technique and ensemble skills, while supplementing instruction in music theory, music history, and music technology.   Daily rehearsals provide students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills within an educational setting that fosters critical thinking and analysis, creative expression, social interaction, and choice.  Upholding the tradition of excellence established within the Concord Choral Department, our students serve as ambassadors of their school and community at local performances and professional venues, as well as national and international festivals and competitions.
